I believe birth doesn’t exist as a single event, but forms part of a season in your life which brings about a lot of change in various aspects of your life. Through the experience of welcoming a child, you might be getting support from different people. I work with families to provide a consistent source of non-judgemental support.
However, I know that true support can look different for people based on where they are in their journey. That’s why I offer a variety of options with the goal being to help you prepare so well that you know you have everything you need, with or without me in the room.
Antenatal courses
You might be looking for: a way to feel less afraid and more prepared.
One-to-one or group courses during pregnancy in which we work through your birth preferences and your postnatal support needs, and practise tools and techniques for labour and birth. Choose The Nesting Season™ or HypnoBirthing® – The Mongan Method.
Birth doula
You might be looking for: non-judgemental, emotional and practical support during pregnancy and birth.
One-to-one emotional support and coaching throughout pregnancy in which we explore and prepare for the birth that you want. Whether you plan to birth at home, at a birth centre or in hospital, I support you all the way.
Postnatal doula
You might be looking for: emotional support and practical assistance during the fourth trimester and newborn phase.
Hands-on support and a listening ear for you and your family while you adapt to life at home with your new arrival. I prepare food, support you with feeding, hold your baby while you rest, and point you to relevant local services.
How they fit together
My packages bring together different services I offer including antenatal education, virtual or in-person birth support, and postnatal debrief of birth. Package prices have been designed to accommodate different levels of investment. Bespoke packages are available upon request.
